If you are a Nordic citizen over the age of 18 and you have lived in Norway for seven years, you can submit notification of citizenship instead of applying. As a rule, you cannot become a Norwegian citizen by notification if you are under the age of 18.

If you have been granted an immigrant's passport, you must attend an appointment with the police. Normally, you cannot use the immigrant's passport to visit your home country.

If you have been granted a residence permit for work purposes, you can now travel to Norway. When you have been to the police and the police have ordered your residence card, you can start working.
